I really like the looks of the Crossfire but I'm still not sure that is the way I want to go. Most of the comments on this board are very positive about the Crossfire but some comments/issues are making me proceed slowly. I'm also looking at the new MX5, Z4 or maybe an SLK (two or three years old). Whatever I get, I'm leaning toward a hardtop coupe or at least a hardtop option.
Miatas are dime a dozen and smaller, the crossfire is an slk 320 but looks better and costs less. Z4, I wouldn't settle for less than the 3.0, but if you get a Z4 wait for the M model. Other cars to consider of course are the S2000 (coming out in hardtop), Solstice (ugh) Saturn Sky (wait for the 250 hp) or, of course there are RX-8's (if you live where it's cold, rotary's aren't that good in cold weather), or a 350z. And if you don't mid torque steer the new Eclipse is rather nice as i have test drove the gt model. I would definitely get one if say there was a gsx model (lots of torque steer on this car). Or go big and get the new vette which are almost as plentiful as Miatas. It all depends on what you want to spend i guess. SRT-6? Charger SRT-8? 2 door? 4 door? Rear wheel? Front wheel? M3? New Stang gt? the upcoming Stang Cobra? Previous generation Cobra? Just my 2 cents.
