I think that you would have to spend money on mods to get the benefits from a CAI. I may be a little naive but when I look at M3s,M5s and M6s, none of them used CAI and they squeeze everything out of every liter of the engine. They are also NA engines. They have massive intakes, individual butterfly throttle valves for each cylinder. I have to say this, I'm not a BMW fan! I just work for them. I'm a Mercedes guy and plan on working for them in the near future, but their engines are amazing.
