Thanks Max, for help with another issue. I installed the 5000K HID low beams after looking carefully at your writeup and photos. Easy to do, though not as spiffy as your setup. Newer kits, at least mine, lacked brackets, and even lacked double sided tape and instructions. Good thing I had the go-by!

This link is for the seller I used, in case anybody is looking now. For $40 including shipping, it was a low risk mod. I have one eye, and night driving can be terrifying (especially for my passenger). These lights are a huge improvement.

I'm seeing no comments on using HID's for the brights. If they use the same H7 bulb, why not?
