Thanks guys. Got it done and posted new thread. Neal, I used a couple of Spectre pieces but not the pipe you mentioned. I did see it in stock. I had already sourced the main pipe and silicone from siliconeintakes.com. Ended up drilling a hole for a grommet I found that matched the one in the original intake. Just ran new hose from valve cover to the grommet and used the factory end I pulled off the original hose. Couldn't find a K&N conical, so ended up using a huge Spectre intake. Cannot believe I got the grill on. Required bending the power steering lines slightly. I'm more inclined toward performance rather than looks. No one will be looking under the hood but me. Not the quality of Needswings but I would think I got nearly the performance. The bottleneck is through the core support as the hose compresses. Not much you can do about that. I guess that is where the dual intake has the advantage. I still think given the 3" true size of the single, I'll get the performance I want.
