doc, my two favorite pieces in my tiny collection are my Dad's old police and highway patrol guns. His center-hump mounted Model 97 sawed-off Winchester 12 gauge pump and the S & W .357 magnum. When he came home from the South Pacific and applied to the police department, they tried to give him a standard-issue .38 Special and he said, no, I'll buy my own pistol, thanks. Hand cannon!
The shotgun is illegal for civilian use, but I will tell you that to hit a jackrabbit on full run across a desert at 80 yards, all you had to do was aim in the compass direction and a wall of shot would go out.
"Rabbit, due East.. .BAM!" Dead wabbit.
