Hey all, I’ve been a long time reader of the boards, definitely appreciative of your knowledge & knowhow. I really have completed lots of due diligence, but I still have a question for the online pros.
The Problem: My srt (60k miles, no mods) has a hesitation/hiccup issue. Upon slow acceleration (like stop and go city traffic) the car seems to slip or hesitate typically around 1800 rpm, and typically the rpms drop by 150. Using that infamous search button I’ve read thru literally hundreds of threads, they all seem to point to the supercharger’s clutch slipping at the rpm in which it engages. The
difference, however, is I can leave the car in first gear, run the rpms up very very slowly up to 3k, press the gas a bit harder and the hesitation occurs; going up a steep hill from a stop, hesitation can occur at 1k (typically with a metallic
tink!). I thought the blower engages around 1800 ….
The Funny Stuff: I have an extended warranty; so took it into the dealership, after days in the shop, they replaced the supercharger - still the same issue & symptoms. Fast forward two months, another state and another dealership, they said there was not an issue with my car, the hesitation was normal and that I should accelerate quicker if I didn’t want to feel the hesitation (yes, really). A lengthy discussion with the service manager yielded no result other than: they have exhausted our knowledge base and are unable to fix the car citing they cannot find the real problem. The service manager called me a couple nights ago asking me to research the problem with the car and perhaps they can fix it if I point them in the right direction.
Other Tidbits: IC pump replaced (as it failed), no check engine lights, belt tensioner replaced; still fast as hell if I press the pedal hard
Potential Leads & stuff above my head: researching this problem, I found a many leads describing a very similar condition; I’m really hoping someone could point me (and a leading Atlanta Chrysler Dealership) in the right direction.

Supercharger & Clutch Assembly – Dealership replaced the supercharger unit, does the “unit” constitute the clutch assembly as well?
Is it the transmission?
I sincerely appreciate your time & advice! Thanks in advance.
