Default Re: New Lights Installed.

If you are not mechanically inclined, the HIDs can be a bit of a hassle. It is not so much the actual wiring of the HIDs, but rather the pain it is to figure out how to clip the HID bulbs with the OEM wire clips since HID bulbs have wires protruding directly from the back of them. You can do plenty of searches on this forum to read more about the install process.

From those pictures the Silverstars look pretty good and I actually had those installed on my Limited before swapping them out for HIDs. As andrew said though, HIDs are night and day difference and, IMHO, they make the car look even more modern/current.

I have 5000K HIDs in my headlights and 5000K LEDs in my license plate lights in my black SRT-6 and I really think it gives the car a clean look on par with the fancy LEDs/HIDs found in newer models such as the Nissan 370Z, Camaros, etc. People can't believe my car is a 2005 model when I tell them - but the Crossfire's timeless style also contributes to that.

Good luck and enjoy those lights - even if you stick with the Silverstars, they are still much brighter than stock halogens.
