Default Trailer Hitch

This is a feeler thread.

I will be taking my sons Crossfire off line for a few weeks in December to have a local Machine Shop make up a Trailer Hitch similar to the one I have had installed and in use for the last few years. His Christmas present.
I use a trailer origionally desinged for a Motorcycle and limit my use to less then 500lbs (trailer, tires and gear total) and less then 50lbs tounge weight and have had zero issue when towing for trips up to 800 miles.

If others are interested, I could ask about making up a few sets. With the low volume, my guess is it will likely not be cheap. My first run hitch cost me around $500. When I spoke with the shop owner about the project earlier, he recommended chrome and other finishes that could be aplied but would cost $$$. Mine is just painted flat black and is hardly noticable with the receiver removed.

Unpainted photos of my first hitch can be found in my gallery. I will add some additioanal photos later today.
