here my story...all true (but some may doubt) I bought my 2004 crossfire about 2 years ago ...I was looking for a sporty car and fell in love with it.
I got a good price paid $9700 cash and it had 51,400 miles on it ...everything is perfect on it ....except for new tires and a few oil changes ...nothing wrong with it ...I put about 150 miles a week on it .
3 months ago while driving home I feel it down shifting like its losing power then at a stop sign it stalls, this keeps going on for the next day and I take it to the place where I bought they have a shop, no check engine light has come on yet ....
He looks and does what he can but cant tell me whats wrong ? as were talking I see some gas leaking and its from what he called the charcol filter and there is alot of gas in it ....he says you better take it to the dealer ..

I dont want to go there but I do ...they replace it (but before I take to them I tell them about gas having trouble going into the tank) takes over 10 mins to get $8 in the tank...they fix the filter for about $600 and tell me all is good ...I ask them about the gas going into the tank ...they say no problems ..

I get the car and less then 2 miles I feel the down shifting feeling again ....I call them and tell them its not fix and I going to put gas in it and I am expecting the same thing ...sure enough gas not going in ....

I take it back and they have it for 2 days ....and tell me bad news my gas tank is bad ...and the cost is $3600 ...at that point I see the extended warranty for $4000 4 years or 50,000 miles and at this point I think its the best way for me to go....

I must wait 30 days before it kicks in ...they tell me its ok to drive the car as long as its not that much ...I live 2 miles from my job and thats really all I am driving ....2 days before it goes in (30 days are up) as I am pulling in my complex I hear the worst noise ...its my intake manifold blows up .....I have my car brought on a tow truck

It gets worst....they fix the manifold (cost of $2300 which is covered ) ....i check every few days for the gas tank ...and they have no ideal when its coming ...while I am on vacation ....they fire the service manager of the dealership (the only person i been working with) the new lady is clueless and her only answer is were waiting for it.

Last week they called and told me its on a german freighter coming from germany and should be here around dec 14th ....

I look at this site and call around ...only see one post where someone had this ...and not much info on the results ...I called many part outlets and confirmed the price on the tank ....
