Mine did.......twice. Not sure when exactly my tank failed but it was probably within a year of getting my Crossfire. The only symptom I had was that gas would not pump into the tank unless it was dribbled in.

After a thorough diagnosis my dealer determined that my gas tank was bad and replaced it, and away I went to a gas station. Alas, the problem was still there. My dealer then changed every component in the gas tank system but I still could only drip and dribble the gas in. At that point my dealer admitted defeat and said that he would have to fly a Chrysler engineer in to look into the problem.

A month later the engineer showed up, investigated the problem, and determined that my replacement gas tank was also bad. According to the dealer the check valves in both tank filler tubes had failed. The dealer said that the tube was an integral part of the tank so could not be replaced separately. I don't know if this is actually true but at least both tanks were covered under warranty.

For awhile I would confuse people by saying I was on my first set of tires and my third gas tank.
