How come my FSS was reset after the A service and showed 15,000 km (over 9,000 miles) to the next B service? Is it possible US versions have shorter intervals than EUR models?

My A service was done at 19,500 km (12,300 miles) when the FSS display showed 0. But don't know anymore at what number it started.
