Re: Battery Replacement
After 7 years and 4 months, my Varta gave up the ghost. Went to Wal-Mart and got the EverStart MAXX-H6 for $98.96. Stamped K11 and labeled with a green 11/11 dot. Used the red cap from the Varta as well as the plug and catch can. Thanks for the tips. Replacement was a cinch, although I wish the new battery came with handles like the Varta. Would have made lifting and setting the new battery a lot easier. The Wal-Mart battery is an exact fit - no spacer needed. It is made by Johnson. 3-year free replacement. In and out in about 5 minutes. Read elsewhere on the forum where people did a reset or two - like throttle and door locks. Can someone elaborate? I didn't do any resets to mine and no red lights or warning flashers. Only adjustment was the clock. Everything else worked, including garage door openers.
