Re: hiccup | hesitation | slip
UPDATE:
I drove around with the dealership's grand puba, he felt & heard the issue- said he will do everything he can to fix it.
The car has been in the shop for a while now ... come to find out, there was an 2005 internal Chrysler memo about the throttle body gasket leaking causing momentary hesitation, may or may not throw a check engine light. I got those same symptoms, they claim to have check the gaskets, gaskets are functioning as designed.
Adamant that there is a problem, they drove the car around with a data logger. Low & behold, when the blower kicks in hesitation occurs. They did find out the supercharger will always turn on at a maximum of 2800 RPM, hence the car's hesitation just shy of 3k.
They think the issue may be in the computer software or the supercharger. I've told them they replaced the supercharger and asked to confirm what parts were replaced (whether it was the whole thing or just a portion).
They also are questioning whether or not this is normal for the car as this will determine how far will they go trying to resolve the issue. They claim there is an inherent hesitation as the blower turn on and cpu adjusts air/fuel, loss of power occurs - to what degree is normal they don't know as they've only serviced 3-4 other srt-6s. I assured them this is not normal.
So anyways, its still in the shop, I hope they can find the problem.
