I've fitted the left handside hid kit fine and it works, but for some reason the righthandside doesn't work on HID, but works for a standard bulb, I've tried changing the known good bulb and ballast that works on the left handside to no avail... I've come to the conclusion that i need a new bit where the bulb plugs into as there is a bit of plastic missing on the side, that was cracked... so I think the standard bulb works fine as the metal pins are very rebust and make a connection, whereas the hid kit pins are a bit more flimsey and aren't making a good connection with the bulb housing.

To be clear I'm talking about the lead circled in GREEN as per pic...

Anyone have any sugguestions? or know where I can get a replacement lead circled in green?

As at the moment I have one HID light and another standard light, it looks crappy!
The set up I know of with HID's does not jive with what you are saying the way I read your post.

Could it be that the two wires that plug into the old bulb socket need reversing, I wired mine as per instructions included and they did not work. reversing these two wires in the socket worked.

If not, I thought that two separate wires plugged into the socket that formerly went to the back of the bulb and that these then went to the ballast, with two other wires returning to which the bulb is pre attached.
