If its a HID kit it will have a ballast (square/oblong box) connected to each headlight. something like this

To revert back to normal its just a matter of disconnecting the ballast and wiring and putting a normal bulb back in.
From Jan 2012 this will fail MOT unless its fitted as standard because you dont have headlight washers and self leveling headlights.
A lot of people are going to get caught out with these come MOT time.
It might be that you just have a brighter bulb fitted like these, which should be ok
