Re: HID Install Lows and Fogs with Pictures
MrMiata,
The kit is complete. I noticed mention of a resistor or such (an extra box) necessary to prevent the light out light. That seemed to be in earlier posts, and I suspect that that has been included inside the ballast. Don't know, but it is not part of the kit, and is not needed.
The install was very simple, but room can be limited. Print the go-by from Max and have it available.
I just put the same kit in for my brights. Short term, there is no problem, but I need more time to be sure what I think. The dims were such an improvement, I knew immediately.
I made my own brackets. I sealed the rubbbers cups where I slit them to pass wires through. I left as little wire in as possible, and now realize that if you want back in to check something (like seating of the lamps), that the lack of wire inside makes that a problem.
Also, as has been mentioned in many ways, be extra careful to avoid letting the little wire clip that holds the lamp get loose. No problem the first time, but with the brights, it happened on both sides, and was a real irritant.
Good luck.
Michael
