The NSG will not hold up, I agree. I'd be interested on the SRT internals with a strong manual and strong rear. I know what would be involved with making another transmission work (tr6060 or something), but considering the amount of money guys have spent on v8 swaps and what people are willing to spend on a turbo setup that will get their limited to SRT specs.. A beastly 6 speed swap would sell.. period. It's possible, it's just a matter of time before it happens.
