I read your first post and assumed that there was a gap between the two beams from the two bulbs. If it was the post in each bulb then I assumed you would have two gaps in the beams.

Possibly they were adjusted horizontally by a previous owner. It can be done and is explained in a post by James1549.

Please confirm that it is a gap between the two beams.
