Update - my Crossfire is snug in the garage, properly prepped for storage.
The new car dealers were insulting in what they offered (yes, I know, the time of year was an issue) so I managed to get my Jeep fixed and I will drive it this winter. It is butt ugly - new back door from the wreckers and the rocker panel is still bent a bit but since I put 3 grand in the front end last year, it runs soundly.
So I am still a crossfire owner. It is amazing how resourceful you can be when faced with the loss of a loved one.
I am getting a new knee in early February and the surgeon said no driving for three months. So by the time the fair weather rolls around, I will be happy to get "Lucy" back on the road!
Happy New Year crossfire buddies - you are good friends!
