I have been having a few electical gremlins in the last month.First the alarm goes off which i thought was strange as i have had no problems with it in the 4 years i have owned the car .Second a brake light bulb blows and third the gearstick gets stuck in park.I assumed this all came down to low voltage so checked the battery and alternator with one of the gizmos you plug in the cigerette lighter and it came back with a low battery reading.With the battery being just over 5 years old i replaced it and have had no more problems.I managed to get an exide premium 4 year (720cca,72ah) from eurocarparts.com for £69 with their 15% off code whereas one from halfords was going to cost £106 / £126.I thought i would let you guys know, especially if you are still running the original one.
By the way, after install i only had to reset the clock as i did not lose the radio stations or have the bas/esp light come on.
