Sorry to hear about you getting caught. I have never had a ticket I got convicted for, as my record has been fairly good. When I do get that occasional ticket, I ask for supervision, and that usually works well for me. Not in 2011. I got a ticket for not making a complete stop, on a new local stop sign. I could have asked for supervision, but there was some confusion, and they never scheduled me for safety school. I let it go, and just paid for it thinking I'll just be careful not to get another ticket in 12 months. Well, I was stopped for speeding, kinda like you did, 80 in a 55. I was on the fast lane, and had to move to the far right to exit. There he was, and he stopped me, and told me the only reason he gave me a ticket was because I moved to the center lane going 80.No one on this E-way ever goes 55. I was just keeping up with traffic. With the previous ticket, I'm not eligibale for supervion, so now I have two, and in Illinois, it's three and youre out. Sad thing was, I was driving my daughter's VW Beetle with a pink "I love Kitty" steering wheel cover.

Now I have to drive like a nun till this coming July...
