Similar way of finding out actually buddy, bottle of water with washing up liquid in...poor over tyre, where it starts bubbling is where your puncture is
Granted you have to have a bottle of water & washing up liquid with you but this is easily achieved.
I always have a bottle of water in the car & you can get those little tubes of washing up liquid from pound shops etc....
