I dont think this is a coincidence with mine, altho I had that "BAS/ESP tranny lockup problem" twice since I bought the car and both times warranty covered the fix. The Ultragauge manual makes lots of references to "unusual or erratic" lights, responses after hookup. I will try it again I guess...would like to make it work. Maybe it was a response to the start-up/download.

Mine indicated the vehicle protocol as KWP2000; I entered 3.2L for engine size. 50 gauges were selected as I recall.

I will try the install process again and see what happens....maybe this time I will start the motor to make sure the ignition is in the "RUN" position before I plug in the gauge.
