[quote=Adam Downunder]Cheers and thanks Dennis, it is a great site - it is part of the reason I bought an SRT-6..

I hear a lot of people quoting the figure of "928" SRT-6 Roadsters, where did this figure actually come from, was this a figure that was released by Chrysler or a number that just has become "folklore" amongst enthusiasts?

I tried to get some info from Chrysler Australia and their record keeping is quite poor. I am unsure how Companies such as Chrysler Corp, could be so poor at keeping records about the vehicles that they build, I thought it would be mandatory for Taxation, recalls, law suits etc etc to have every vehicle built to be accounted for "somewhere" in their systems..[/quote

The 928 Roadster and 2016 Coupe totals were obtained from Chrysler for 2005, with the total for 2006 as unknown.

Please remember, the Crossfire was the only car jointly built by Daimler-Chrysler at the Karmann factory in Germany, not in the USA. There must have been some kind of disconnect between Benz-Karmann-Chrysler.
We have the same issues with the dealer network here in the USA, this is the reason for this forum, collecting information about our cars and presenting the information from this forum to the dealership, when a visit is mandatory for service, when the dealer is unsure of the correct repair.
Search for the TSB thread for issues related to the Crossfires that may pinpoint the recalls.
Good luck with your SRT6.....
