Well, so much for an '04 coupe with a 6-speed, that sold at MSRP the first year for $34,495 having ANY value at the end of five years!!!
As of today, Kelly Blue Book values for an '04 coupe are:
Trade-in Value - $18,575
Private Party Sale - $22,130
By comparison, the SLK 320 seems to be holding it’s value a little better at $32,025 and $35,785.
This is just more fuel to support the theory that Crossfire production will end after the five year contract with Karmman is up in 2008, IF not sooner.
From what I recall, Chrysler products have never held their value very well. And the Crossfire being a MB in sheep’s clothing, did nothing to help Chrysler at all.
I’m glad the reason I purchased my car was because I liked it. From the very beginning it was a long term keeper. I never gave any thought to resale value but it sickens me a little to see the price fall so low so soon. Oh well, happy motoring…
