I am considering buying a Crossfire. I took a 2007 coupe with only 10,000 miles for a test drive. The road surface was not bumpy but the pavement was very coarse. The noise inside the car was deafening. Sounded like I was inside a drum. I wonder if the four year old tires were the culprit, or if all Crossfires are on the noisy side?

It could be the tires. My wife and I drive on very long trips with no real problem depending on the roads. You do have to remember that you are almost sitting on the rear tires so you will hear some road noise. We have the BF goodrich G-force tires which I hear are a pretty loud tire but does not sound like a drum at all.
