Default Re: Self Serving Censorship on the Forum

I know I should probably just let sleeping dogs lie. But this thread has bothered me from day one, and I just can't let it go.
I can see where Bluecoupe has a legitimate gripe, and I have no idea as to why Andrew chose to do what he did. (Maybe he simply felt bluecoupes post was demeaning to the Chinese).
But to imply that he erased a negative post (or an entire thread) simply because he felt it was detrimental to his highly lucrative decal business is simply ludicrous.
Andrew is and always has been a cornerstone of this forum ever since I've been here, and his motives and integrity have never been in question.
The fact that he no longer owns a Crossfire and still chooses to frequent this forum having any significance totally elludes me. If anybody thinks he chooses to be here only for monetary gain, then you're sadly mistaken.
Andrew is a true automotive enthusiast, and enjoys taking part not only in our forum, but others as well. His contributions are quite often invaluable. He's the kind of guy who will drop everything and go completely out of his way to help someone, in anyway he can. Just because that's the kind of guy he is.
Trust me, we need him (and more people like him) here, more than he needs us.
Frankly I wouldn't blame him one bit if after this tirade against him, he simply told the Crossfire community to F-off and disappear. But he's too classy of a guy to ever do that.
What I don't understand, is the seemingly "mean spirited" tone of this entire thread. Where it sounded (at least to me) like many of the those who posted had a grudge against him.
I'm not going to say anymore about it except this. If Andrew is guilty of abusing his powers as a Moderator, then the only person who has anything to say about it is the owner of this forum, Julian. As far as I know, he has no problem with the way Andrew conducts his affairs, and that should be the end of it.
