I use a car cover to protect it from scratches, dings, etc. When the car is stored outside in the spring and summer, I still use the car cover to protect the finish from environmental damage, tree sap, bird droppings, etc. It also prevents water spotting on your nice clean finish. You can get a nice, breathable car cover made out of Evolution fabric for less than a hundred bucks. I found the generic "Size 2" to be a perfect fit for my Crossfire, therefore, I see no reason to spend more for a custom fit one. It's a worthwhile investment to keep your car looking nice.
