If you are saying that the 3 inch pipes are not cold, this is normal, the engine bay heats up everything under the hood. The pipes may be even up to 100 degrees without concern as the DCAI allows much lower restriction air flow to the motor allowing a denser air charge to the cyclinders, ie better filling and more power. The inlet air is flowing under full throttle conditions thru the tubes over a 100 miles per hour and thus not spending much time gathering heat as the air enters the motor, ie cooler inlet air temps. Since the air is not dwelling in the pipes to pick up heat, the air also does a minimal job at cooling the pipes.

Enjoy the kick in the but performance. I tested the design to see a 25 HP gain over a single inlet BELOW 2500 RPM. Woody
