Please look again at the lower portion of RS' thread, where he is referring to identifying future VIN#'s with a 5X0 or a 6X0 before the 5 digit number. The last numbers listed contain the 6X0 which equates to a 2006 VIN#, that are within the 2005 VIN#'s. There was no definitive break in the 2005-2006 VIN#'s. He is stating the 2006 SRT6's do not begin with the 641XX series as thought before.

I did see that and he does say they are non SRT listed as exemples of the crossover between 05 and 06 not having a definite break. I agree 100% with what he is telling us. I have seen the same thing in my database of 2004-05-06-07-08.
In my database the last 05 SRT is 61045 (unknown color/Coupe-Roadster) and first 06 SRT is 64168 (SSB Coupe).
The very first 05 SRT pilot/test car is 11854 an SSB Coupe. I know of 4 other 05 SRT that fall in the 04 model year sequence.
I work for an automaker and we do the same thing, run sequential number regardless of model year.
