Default Re: Interesting info on tire balancing

No doubt proper wheel balancing is an art. At work we use a place called Shoreline Motoring (Shoreline Motoring - At Shoreline Motoring, our commitment is to provide the highest quality products and services to all of our customers.) in Huntington Beach, CA and they are absolutely fantastic. I had my TSW Doningtons mounted on the Crossfire there and the balance is perfect at every speed I've driven thus far. Our COO has a 2009 BMW M3 Coupe and had a set of Vorsteiner wheels installed a while back. Not sure why, but he didn't go to Shoreline to have them mounted/balanced and he fought balance issues for several months that the original installer could never figure out. One trip to Shoreline and all is well. They charge a bit more, but they take a lot of care in how they handle everything and deal almost exclusively with high end Euro iron.
