Yes the cables have been known to kink, they are quite easy to repair and cheap to replace. We have had a few members who have had this problem, but managed to sort it
The funny thing is, two days beforehand i had UK Ken pop in and see me at work.I know he has replaced one in the past and he could have given me a few pointers as to replacing them.If i cant work it out myself perhaps i will give him a call...
