Default Re: Dealership sticks it to me on Crossfire.....

That sucks. But, you paid $29K for it. Since you can find them on e-Bay for less than that, unloading it would be a money losing proposition. Thus, I think unless you are willing to take another hit in the pocketbook, you are stuck with the car for a while. In the future, I recommend taking your time to buy a car such as this. The dealerships cannot unload these things, so they are not going anywhere. You probably could have taken the car home for a night before buying. Also, they should have given you a pick from the cars in inventory. I did the deal, before I chose my car (they had several of the same trim level on hand). But, it's too late for that.

I recommend getting the front touched up, if the chips bother you. $1,000 ought to cover a nice cosmetic respray of the bumper and hood. Nobody will notice the non-Mopar glass. Everything else (engine, powertrain, brakes, tires, chassis) is pretty much new with the low mileage you reported. You should have plenty of good years ahead with the car, despite a rocky start. I say, drive it and enjoy it. That's why you wanted one originally, right?

As a service to other Chrysler owners (and yourself), I recommend that you do the following:

1. Note the dealer name and town on this forum
2. Write a letter summarizing the above to the chamber of commerce in that town, the Better Business Bureau, and DaimlerChrysler.
3. Send a copy of that letter to several major auto magazines. If you are lucky, one of them may publish it

I think if you take the above steps, this dealer will be a lot less apt to screw anyone in the future.
