Default Re: Anybody else have these in their XF

Kodebuster,
I stand corrected, you are right, I was getting the two lights confused.
The red button shown in the picture is a UK only install to comply with Thatcham cat1 alarm systems. Please see post below from the UK forum.

Mystry of the Red Button, Solved! - 08-01-2008 , 01:18 PM

Hi again all,

I just got of the phone to chrysler UK and they've explained the red button in the roof to me. Documentation was lacking as its a UK specific install. To comply with Thatcham CAT 1 alarm systems you need to be able to disarm the internal motion sensors while keeping all the others active.

Usage: Stop your engine, press the red button, your motion sensors are now deactivated. To re-enable them simply start the engine.

Unfortunately its nothing as interesting as a cloaking device, cup holder quick release / warmer, ejector seat as previously suggested but there you go at least we all now know.

(Special thanks to Pauline at Chrysler UK customer care for sorting this one out for me.)

Cheers all,

Jamie
