Default The Lifetime Powertrain Warranty

Starting 60 days prior to July 26, 2012 original owners that purchased their vehicles on or after July 26, 2007 will begin taking their vehicles in for the 5 year free inspection that is required to maintain their LPW.

Although some have suggested that eventually Chrysler will limit any repair to the resale value of the total vehicle.....I have never seen anything official to back that claim up.

No doubt however, Chrysler will try to find ways to wiggle out of the obligation. So far, I've been impressed with their standing behind the LPW. Since my 3/36 ended > 2 years ago....they have fixed a rear axle leak & replaced the valve covers for free.....implying almost $1,600 of free repairs.

What sort of tactics do you think they will try to employ to negate the LPW?

07 > 75,000 miles....6spd.....25mpg
