I just got of the phone to chrysler UK and they've explained the red button in the roof to me. Documentation was lacking as its a UK specific install. To comply with Thatcham CAT 1 alarm systems you need to be able to disarm the internal motion sensors while keeping all the others active.
Usage: Stop your engine, press the red button, your motion sensors are now deactivated. To re-enable them simply start the engine.
Unfortunately its nothing as interesting as a cloaking device, cup holder quick release / warmer, ejector seat as previously suggested but there you go at least we all now know.

What the...! Do you mean that in the UK you can actually pick up the phone and call a number for Chrysler "customer care"!?? I am soooo jealous. Ya call Chrysler here and they don't have a clue that you're even talking about a Chrysler product.
