
Larry, we lost our 34 year old daughter after 10 years of 24/7 care for her brain damage here at home in July of 09. The creamation route was just a few dollars lower than the direct burial route and all her friends and our families wanted the burial route. She was 100% total care, incapable of talking. If you remember the terry schavio case a few years back, our Linda was that way EXCEPT that Linda was 100% cognitive. She was trapped in her twisted body unable to talk, communicate, 100% bedridden, 100% total care. We did this for 10 years (from age 24 to 34) and she must have thought it was a burden but of course we never thought that. Anyway, the funeral home was 'nice' enough to let us make payments over a period of time (I'm on military pension, nothing else coming in) without any interest but it was quite an awakening, this 'profession'.
