well I'm back here after an abscence of a few years due to me thinking of getting another XF (left to buy a Y2K Camaro SS, moved on to a C70, TT 225, MG ZT and another C70) .... weird thing is that after my utter confusion a few years back at XF prices things haven't changed - if anything they've actually gotten worse!!

I've seen some up for £8k with 30/35k on the oddometer and others for £7k (or less) with 10/15k less on the oddometer

there really is some bizarre pricing! basically a change in my circumstance has meant I can think about buying a something nicer again (pay-rise! yay!!). Am currently enjoying a C70 with all the toys (and very nice it is too!) but the chance of something newer and fun is proving to be irresistable! Sooooo looking at various machines:
X5 - tempted but v.high miles for more £££
Focus ST v.nice but too common
C4 Corvette too old
Monaro seriously tempted!!
There really doesn't seem to be a whole lot out there to compare since I don't really want a BMW (except for the afore mentioned X5) or a Boxster, MX5 or mild-hatch. The 2006 C70 does hold some appeal but the XF holds a damn sight more!!!
