Re: The Lifetime Powertrain Warranty
Just a side story. I recently took my car in for some paint work under the 3/36 warranty (good for another seven months), and the dealer tried to tell me that the warranty on paint was three years from the build date, not the delivery date. This was the dealer and not Chrysler (with whom I am very happy). They actually presented the claim to Chrysler before they would agree to the repair, and of course Chrysler recognized that the warranty statement (shown to the dealer at the time) that the warranty commences on delivery to the new vehicle purchaser. Can't even figure out why the dealer would want to avoid the work. So, there may be dealers who would try to claim build date on the LPW as well.
