Even though my jack pads are intact(a little beat up from previous owner), I use a small piece of 3/4" rubber horsestall mat that I cut. I have one size for the jack pads, and a larger one for the rear diff.. This material is near bullet proof, and pliable enough to spread the load evenly, so it does no damage what so ever.
