So how do you guys remove the sticky material left when removing decals?

I fancied this one piece of sticker before and thought it would look nice on the back side of my car but it such a pain to take out.

I have read some posts online claiming how oil could be used to remove but I am not eager to use it as it might cause some problems with the paint.

What are your thoughts?
