Default Re: Pedal Replacement

Thanks! about 2-3 hours longer than I thought it would but part of that is my fault. The startech kit came with three bolts and 7 self tapping screws. The instructions said to use the 7 self tapping screws on the accelerator and clutch pedals. Then the three bolts on the brake pedal.

I decided to use all bolts because the self tapping screws just did not feel very secure to me. Since I bought the bolts I had to do a lot more drilling and contorting to get the wrenches where they needed to be. It was a pain to get everything attached in that cramped space.

At one point my wife came into the garage and I heard her say, "HUN?" I did not respond as I was balancing my legs in the air to get some good leverage as I leaned in with the drill (getting the right angle was a pain on that brake pedal!) I did not hear her again until about 2 hours later when I was finally finished.

I went and found her in the back yard getting the garden ready for the spring and asked, "I heard you calling for me did you need help with something?"

She replied, "When I saw your legs sticking up out of the car and the other half of your body cramped under the steering wheel where I could not see it, Tippy (the dog) and I decided we would do some gardening." haha
