Just a pointer, sometimes the batteries go on sale when they have a backlog of product that is getting to the end of the number of recharges they can do before it is sold.
The manufacture date is cast in the case somewhere, usually the top of one end and the sticker on the top is the date it was last recharged. Some do have a sticker on the top with the date of the initial fill and charge date. That's the day that counts, it could be made years ago but when it's filled is when it starts its life.

You really want a battery only a max of three/four months old.
