I haven't tried that personally, but it also uses vehicle speed to determine actual throttle position, limiters, etc- so I think there may still be other issues if that is tried. Not to mention a lot of other cars I have had will idle funny also if the ECU thinks the clutch is engaged and you will lose the cruise control cut off (not a big deal to some of us). Easy enough to try though. I can't- both of my crossfires and my Z28 are snuggled in the garage for the winter lol.
