235/40/18's are taller than 255/35/18's. As Squirrel Crusher pointed out, the plastic can be molded with a little heat and patience. People have run 285's on the front but they weren't lowered and the tire protruded outside the fender. I'm inside the fender and lowered. Pictures will be taken tomorrow.

On a side note, I shined up the stock front rims. I'm considering putting them on the car for the 1/2 mile competition coming up. They are more than an inch skinnier and could be worth a couple of mph. I'm still undecided. The car would look strange with 2 styles of rims even if it's a bit faster. I'm still sleeping on it.
