Mine was under warranty so they changed a valve or solenoid on the plate. I am sure if I was footing the bill they would have told me I needed a whole new plate. There are two assemblies which look like one, both do not need to be replaced so watch they do not try that trick. They are simply called the valve plate and the electrical plate, I think yours is the electrical plate.
Well the scan showed the fault was the speed input sensor (or something like that), but that I need to replace the whole plate which also includes the oil temperature sensor. The guy said the plate was separate from the solenoids and that those were ok. He never mentioned anything about valve plate (which by the way I don't know what it is or what it does

) but did mention a harness
