Here's some updated info for "onehundred80" 's original info page as it
pretains to the Canadian Tire replacement battery.
The battery in the original report was listed as a "Eliminator"
(p/n)#10-4800-8. This number now is for a "Motomaster" battery; apparently the same unit as before but they brought in a new improved "Eliminator" with the (p/n) 10-4885-6 that has a higher CCA of 910 @ 32F / 760 @ 0 F and a
120 min reserve rating. The recycle tag shows it's from Exide.
It is an identical fit and look for the Varta , with two handles but is black body and top ; vent holes and cap retainer holes provided.
Canadian price was 129.99 plus taxes for the new "Eliminator" and 109.99 for the "Motomaster" (better prorating and warranty on the "Eliminator")
Thanks James, I just got this one for my latest Crossfire in February and never checked the numbers or details at all. I saw it looked different but never crosschecked them. I paid $144.99 for mine. I never checked the bill when I purchased it and did not realize that until I just checked the bill, I thought your price was what I paid, I'll look into that.
First post updated to suit the new details.
