Thanks for the input ... umm firefox and browsers in general - I guess this highlights the need for web developers to do all the clever stuff on the server side (just output HTML to the client browsers) rather than hoping that a user has a suitably enabled browser. Unfortunately my host server won't allow me to do this (a pity, but it is very cheap).


The other problem with this technology is that a web bot (e.g GoogleBot) would never find the site and therefore the site would not be indexed and be invisible to search engines. For this reason I would never develop a commercial site in this way (well not for a few years anyway).

BTW I found a crossfire specific news service that I will be adding to the site tonight.
