I hate to run alone... if I manage to stay reasonably less drunk than 13dog, I may be up and moving when you guys are. Don't mind me, I'll be the ya-hoo in your mirrors in the Graphite convertible.

Let's just hope I can keep up. (I"m a hard fit - too aggressive for our Sunday Drivers, too aggressive for our moderates --- but not ready to run with the psychos.)
Yep, we do a morning run every day we are out there for those that want to. We usually all meet up at the parking lot next to the Fontana Restaurant between 6:30 and 7:00 am before leaving about 7:00 to 7:15 am. You are more than welcome to join us for these runs. There are a very small select few (myself being in this group) that will only use this run as the one to push as hard as we can on (my assumption would be this would fall under your "psycho" level lol). Case in point, last Fall, another forum member Formsim and myself lead the pack. By the time we hit the 3 curve of Hellbender, we could no longer see the rest of the group in our mirrors and we made it through the Dragon all the way to the big dirt pull off next to the bridge (past the overlook/look out at the peak of the mountain where most people stop) and waited almost 10 or so minutes before the next small group came in (probably the group you would fall in per what you were saying). We waited another 5 or so minutes for everyone else to come in in one big group. I think Formsim and I were just more comfortable because we were the only ones in that group that really had regular circuit track time at HPDEs with me having the most seat time. Hence why I lead.

So, no worries. Just come up and ask around and you'll find where to line up within the group if you want to run with us. No problem at all.

As for drinking, I completely hear you on that one. We have one cabin that is always affectionately labelled the "Stabbin' Cabin" where the drinking and fun happens for everyone. So, depending on how much and how late people enjoy that cabin reflects on how many show in the morning. That being said, last Fall we had a decent size group to the main Sat. morning run as described above.
