3) Is the DCAI worth it, or does the single make just as much power? If not going extreme now, is the DCAI worth it? Can you upgrade the single to the dual later?
  1. You can't go wrong with a Eurocharged tune. There are other players out there, but I've got the EC tune on mine and love it. It's a flash tune, so it's generic/broad enough to give some safety margin.
  2. The Needswings Oil Catch Can is priceless. Cleaner engine is a better engine, and once you see what comes out, you'll be a believer. Without the catch can, that stuff simply gets ingested into the motor. Cheaper catch cans might work for a while but the media will quickly clog. Rob sells a quality product, and he's not making a killing on the catch can.
  3. The single is more than adequate. The DCAI allows additional air for those trying to wring out every last HP, and it looks more balanced so it's aesthetically pleasing. I know of several members with a single CAI that are near/in the 11's in the 1/4 mile. The dual allows sharper throttle response and some added midrange curve. The single, when equipped with the proper filter, flows within 150CFM of the DCAI so the single isn't exactly a bad way to go. Having said that, nobody has ever regretted buying the dual. Pick your poison.
I ran my 12.3 on streets with the 65mm pulley, Eurocharged flash tune and the NW single CAI. Three mods, low 12's, and no real danger to the motor. Gotta love it.
